I’m a Busy Bee!

I have been so busy!! Busy at work that is. Man, last week and this week have just been so jam-packed full of “stuff.” Here’s my current “To-Do” list for work. All of this has to be done by May 18th aka The Last Day for Students.
Finish administering STAR Reading, Math, and Early LiteracyPrint STAR reports for teachers, reading teachers, and principal- Finish calendar image for our school for the 2006-2007 district school calendar
- Clean all computers
- Go over inventory of 120ish computers again
Make a sticker to go on every single computer in the schoolPlace said stickers on the computersFill out a form for every computer being moved- Help teachers back up files
- Organize all inventory information
- Finish creating lab image so it can be ghosted
- Enter in teacher names/classes into programs
- Make plan for in case I’m not in the lab next year (I’ll have to write directions out for everything
Move all retired computers into location to be crushed
Hmmm…*looks over list* I think that’s pretty much everything. I’m sure I left some things off. Needless to say, I’ve just been very busy. Our server was down last week (it was being upgraded, our school only), so this week has really been busy. I’ve got to get all this STAR testing done and things like field trips, STAR malfunctions with the new server, and the Special Olympics have just been wrecking my plans.
Eight more days…..eight more days……

you…you…. you CRUSH the computers?? but why?
HEY!! the top commentators thingy was reset! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
-
Well, the computers are old. And rather than wipe the hard drives clean and donate them or sell them cheap, the district would rather crush them.
And yeah, apparently the top commentators resets monthly….(?)
-
Yikes! Looks like you have a LOT to do. @_@ Good luck with everything!
I looked at your 101 Things in Progress..Hmmn… I’d like to start one too
-
Oh my I get sweat on my forehead just by reading what you have been doing
Oh btw you can set the top commentator thingy not to reset in you plugin panel in WP
I set mine to yearly instead of monthly -
Weeh, seems like I’m not the only one who’s been so busy lately. It’s getting to be a drag sometimes just to wake up because the first thing that enters my mind are the things I need to do. But anyway, I’m sure you’ll be able to accomplish all of that in no time. Good luck.

Wow. That’s a lot to do. Good luck with it all.
The end of the year seems so hard for teachers. I’m glad I’m a student. Lol. -
Woot, almost done for the summer
! -
Wow, May 18th? School ends for me in the middle of June =P
-
wow! i hope you get everything done…
can’t you recycle computers? or does it cost more to recycle them then to crush them??
here it costs more to recycle them =/ -
You can set the top commentors to yearly, monthly, weekly. I have mine set yearly.
We have until June 21 till school is out for traditional, but year roud is every three months they get a month off. Have fun finishing up the school year!

The last day for students is the 18th. I have to actually work the 21st too, but no kids!
I have a lot still left to do, but a lot has gotten done. Well, maybe not a lot, but enough I guess.About the computers- it’s not an issue of cost of recycling. It’s just the superintendent doesn’t want any files getting into the wrong persons hands. This is lame, I know. It’d be too difficult for the tech. guys to wipe the hard drives of 800+ computers quickly enough to get rid of them again. They’d want to do that before recycling anything.
Jessica and Heidi: Thanks for the info. I reset my top commentators to yearly AND took my name off the list.
