Where is this new layout?

Date Friday, April 23, 2010 at Clock 7:41 pm ()

I could say a lot of things right now, but all I really want to say is that my cat died at the end of March. :( Pouncy would have been 20 years old this July. She lived a loooong happy life even though she had kitty AIDS and only one eye. I miss her so much. :( I grew up with her. She was born at my house and I have had her ever since. Nothing is the same without her. I still look for her when I come home from work, and I still hear her sometimes….

I took 70 first graders on a field trip today. Actually, all four of the 1st grade teachers took the 70 first graders on the field trip. I had 16 students in my class today. Two of them ran off during the trip (not far, and I found them quickly). It was pretty chaotic, but organized chaos I guess.

My three graduate classes are coming to an end. I still have numerous papers and projects to sort out and finish. I spent last weekend writing papers for hours. I just want to relax and have fun.

I love my iPhone. <3

I desperately need a new layout for this sad site. I don’t want it to be sad. The thought of creating a new theme seem so daunting. I want it to be colorful, cute, trendy, not so full of “stuff” like pages I never update…. I am getting to the point I would almost just like to hire someone to create something for me or use a free theme (but alas, they are all ugly for the most part). Maybe inspiration will strike me? I am not counting on it since it hasn’t struck me already and this layout has been up for way too long.

June 3 officially starts my summer vacation. Is it June yet?

Aww sweetie pie, I’m so sorry about your kitty. Sounds like she had a pretty interesting life though and that you took good care of her (she lived a long time!!). She is probably happy in kitty heaven now. ^^

I’m sorry again about Pouncy, she lived a long happy life though. I know it still hurts to lose a friend :( but she still loves you in kitty heaven. Maybe she’s playing with my Casper.

I haven’t seen any pretty rainbow-y layouts lately either :/ Maybe one of the Bees will be able to help you with inspiration for a design?

I’m so sorry about your cat :( It’s not fun loosing a pet, especially when you’ve had them for a long time.

Here you have a pretty rainbow-y site that you might find inspirational: http://www.miseducated.net At least I thought about you when I found it

If redesigning the whole site seems a bit daunting, how about changing small parts of it bit by bit? I decided to do that on my site and it makes ita lot easier to handle.
Sorry to hear about your cat! Atleast it lived a long happy life :)

As I was searching for blogs for a graduate class, I typed in my search area “educational blogs for first grade teachers”, and needless to say, I was routed to your site. This is my first time blogging, and I was amazed to find this! Wow! We are all alike, aren’t we! I loved reading about your field trip! We took 52 First Graders to a museum…..needless to say, it was hard to keep this calm enough to WALK and WHISPER, and use the two-finger gentle touch. Hope everyone has a great summer!
