5th Grade Love Letter

This morning when I had my 5th grade class, there was some definite letter passing going on. It didn’t start until near the end of class, and they were passing letters that they had written before coming to the computer lab. I thought the owner of the letter was finally in possession of it, so I didn’t think it was a big deal. I mean, there were worse things they could have been doing while in the lab.
I didn’t give much thought about the letter passing until early afternoon when I went to log one of the computers back on and noticed a folded piece of notebook paper underneath the keyboard. This is what I found:
My Boo!
J****** would you go out with me. You have a great personality. The other reason is that you are sexy and amazing and also a hottie. We also can have a good time go out with each other. I am going to stop being so warsome and you have to stop being mean to me. The reason I know you are sexy is because you have a amazing body and your lips are big and juicy like I like them. That is the reason I want to go out with you. I am not done yet there is more. I will start being nice to you. I will do anything to go out with you because you are the love of my life. That paper that D*** was going to give to you was that she was asking if you will-
There was obviously a missing second page to the letter. I had two fourth graders in the lab working on their portfolio pieces and I told them I found a love letter. They begged me to read it to them, but of course I didn’t. Instead, here I am posting it for the world to read. I am breaking copyright violations.
This afternoon before school was out, I took the letter to the teacher and told her that I had found a love letter in the lab. Funny thing is, I didn’t find the letter underneath J’s keyboard or D’s keyboard, or even K’s keyboard (the girl who wrote it). It was under another boy’s keyboard! Apparently, the teacher has had problems with love letters in her classroom too. Oh, the raging hormones of young ones. *giggles!!*

Oh boy, 5th graders are acting older & older. Aww, come on Ashley I want names. Just to be mean I would read it out loud when you have you 5th grade lab acting like it was some important letter and the owner might need it. But I am just mean.

Oh my, got to love the new hormones! I was working with 6th graders last year, and OH! THE DRAMA! They were always getting together, and then breaking up! It was like a soap opera. And since I was the teacher’s aide, and not too much older than them, I got stuck in the middle of all the juicy gossip! I also had one boy who I suspect had a bit of a crush on me, which was a little awkward. He was adorable though.

That’s cute
While I was reading it I though “man Ashley - you’re posting a private love letter on your BLOG?!?!” but I would have done the same

Ahhh the good old days of writing love letters ha ha.
Always a good read and a laugh when you think about them and if you find one really. :]
Well, that’s what I think about them.
Especially if you find one of your own from the past, if you didn’t laugh (to hide the embarassment) or to cry (because of the embarassment). -
aw lol. Ive never received a love letter. At my school they just kinda asked you to your face and that was that. I think love letters are quite cute though.
-
Ahh gotta love the love letters haha. In my opinion there’s nothing better. It’s great finding old ones and laughing about how stupid you used to be, but its even funnier finding ones written now and laughing about other people

It’s sweet but a little dodgy. When I was 10 I wouldn’t ever say things like that to somebody. I was still playing with Barbie dolls and playing computer games, not thinking about somebody’s “sexy body”. Heh.

awee.. isn’t that adorable! Tho it seems a little adulty for a 5th grader. But kids seem to grow up so much faster then when i was little.. or maybe i’m just getting older? iono ~_~ but also! even if i did have crushes and stuff, i was never brave enough to do anything like that!

Wow that is amazing at how much it has changed from when I was a kid. It has went from do you like me check yes or no too your sexy lips and body. WOW I’m scared for my son to start into that world. Makes it even worse to think of my girls going through this. I love your site too btw. I will be back often. I’m glad I stumbled across it. -
Even though I got me boobage at the age of 7 my momma told me to wait till I was in high school. Thankfully I have boys & they know no gfs until they have a house & a job.

Oh, my. That love letter’s deep.
If I received a love letter like that, I think I would be scared poopless. I don’t like romantic and mushy-mushy stuff unless it’s in a movie, because it just makes me feel awkward. I’ve decided I’m not going to get a boyfriend until I’m married.
-
Hahaha! That’s actually pretty cute! I’d have giggled too, if I’d found that!

-
that is a cute letter but at the same time I can’t help but think how old these kids are. Aren’t they still too young to write something like that.
-
My boo? LOL!

I think I got something similar to this in year 6, but the boy had obviously chickened out and scribbled his name out at the end!
Very cute how kids act really grown up and all today.
